Research Essentials: Sensitive Data and Storage Online

Sensitive data identifies individuals, species, objects or locations and carries a risk of causing harm, unwanted attention or discrimination. Sensitive data needs to be handled in a careful and compliant way. This does not necessarily prevent storage, sharing, or publication. Instead, methods for de-identification, informed consent, and sensitive licensing should be employed.

The Australian Research Data Commons provides excellent advice that informs this session: https://ardc.edu.au/resource/sensitive-data/

In understanding the FAIR principles and Sensitive Data, the next session for 'Research Data Management Planning' will bring both together in an important document for ACU research projects.
