Research Essentials: Sensitive Data and Storage Online
Sensitive data identifies individuals, species, objects or locations and carries a risk of causing harm, unwanted attention or discrimination. Sensitive data needs to be handled in a careful and compliant way. This does not necessarily prevent storage, sharing, or publication. Instead, methods for de-identification, informed consent, and sensitive licensing should be employed.
The Australian Research Data Commons provides excellent advice that informs this session: https://ardc.edu.au/resource/sensitive-data/
In understanding Sensitive Data, the possibilities for open access to your data can in discussed in the next session for 'FAIR Principles' which will conclude the 3 sessions for Research Data Management at ACU.
