Open Access Week (October 24-30) is an opportunity for the academic and research community to:

• understand the potential benefits of Open Scholarship​
• share learning with colleagues, and​
• inspire wider participation to help make openness a new norm in scholarship and research.

In this webinar, Dr Amanda White from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) will share her experience producing Australasia's first open textbook, a resource that:

• is free for students
• meets accessibility requirements
• includes a diverse range of perspectives
• is relevant to an Australian context, and
• enables a modern, up-to-date curriculum.

Biography

Dr Amanda White is a Senior Lecturer and the Deputy Head (Education) of the Accounting Discipline in the UTS Business School and has been teaching accounting at the university level for almost two decades; She has received awards for her work in creating accessible resources, OER and academic integrity.
