Research Essentials: Get Read - Open Access for your research

Research Essentials: Get Read - Open Access for your research Online

You hit a paywall of $30 for a journal article, the link to a report results in a 404. A researcher trying to access YOUR research hits a paywall and cannot read your paper (or cite it), without paying.

Access to research is a real problem, particularly for practitioners, policymakers and researchers at underfunded institutions. How can you ensure wider access to your research?

By the end of Get Read: Open Access for ACU publications you will be able:

  • Understand the benefits of each type of open access publishing option and how ACU Library can support you with your publishing decisions
  • Discover the Library’s Read and Publish Agreements (with specific publishers/journals) that enable you to publish open access without paying a fee
  • Select the open access pathway that best suits you and your research
  • Know how to deposit an open access version of your research in the institutional repository, ACU Research Bank
  • Identify key open access funder policies and understand their effect on your research
